How and where can I take admission in IT and Management
Programs and what are the last dates for the admission?
Ans:
You can take admission in any of the nearest Study Center.
The State wise list of Study Centers is available on VET
website (http://www.vet.pctiltd.com/content/centre.asp).
The last dates for new admission for January 2010 Session are
as follows:
Without Late / Penal fees :

From where can I get the Prospectus for admission?
Ans: The
Prospectus / Information Brochure can be purchased by paying
Rs. 100/- at KSOU, Manasagangotri, Mysore counter or at
Virtual Education Trust, UU-11, Pitampura, Delhi 88 or
at the Study Centres (Click
here to Locate the nearest Study Centre).
Prospectus / Information
Brochure can also be obtained by post. Kindly send a demand
draft of Rs. 150/- drawn in favour of Virtual Education
Trust payable at Delhi / New Delhi at above said
postal address. Kindly mention your complete postal address
and contact number at the backside of the demand draft.
The information related
to KSOU IT and Management Programs offered in collaboration
with Virtual Education Trust can be obtained from IT Department,
KSOU or Virtual Education Trust, Delhi or any Study Centre.

What are admission / lateral entry admission norms? I had
completed DOEACC A Level Diploma / PGDCA from a University
and want to take admission in MSc IT.
Ans:
For New Admission Kindly ensure that the new
admission form is complete in all respects. Kindly enclose
the attested copy of the certificate as per the qualifications.
Also, kindly check the Demand Drafts to be enclosed along
with the form.
MSc IT 3rd Semester Lateral
Entry students must fill the specialization stream in the
application form.
For Re-registration Kindly
ensure that form is complete in all respects. Kindly check
the Demand Drafts to be enclosed along with the form.
MSc IT 3rd Semester / 4th
Semester students must fill the correct specialization stream
in Re-registration forms.
For both New Admission and
Re-registration: Kindly mention the correct Study Centre
code and Name. All entries must be made in CAPITAL Letters
only.

What documents needs to be attached along with the admission
form?
Ans:
You need to enclose the following documents along with the
new admission form:

For MSc IT, MBA FE, MBA TM, MBA FSM,
MBA HSM, PGDKPO, PGDSAPM, PGDREM,
kindly enclose bachelor's degree pass marksheet / Degree.

For MTech IT Program, kindly enclose
BE or BTech or AMIE or MCA, MSc IT or MSc CS or DOEACC
'B Level or MSc in any discipline (with mathematics as
major component in BSc) pass marksheet
/ degree.

Required Document Proof for admission
under lateral entry in BSc IT and MSc IT. There is no
lateral entry provision in any semester of BBM, MTech
IT, MBA FE, MBA TM, MBA FSM, MBA HSM, PGDKPO, PGDREM and PGDSAPM
-
In MBA FE, for general category candidates,
minimum 50% of marks in aggregate is required in bachelor's
degree. For SC / ST categrory candidates, 45% of marks
in aggregate is required in qualifying examination.
The candidates who have passed bachelor's or master
degree with less than 50% of marks in aggregate and
have three years of experience at supervisory / managerial
/ professional level are also eligible.
All the documents
must be duly attested by the Gazetted Officer / Notary.

I am already IT / Management Program Student. How can I re-register myself
for the next semester?
Ans: You
can re-register yourself for Jan 2010 session by submitting
the re-registration form. The form can be
downloaded
from VET website (http://www.vet.pctiltd.com).
The form needs to be submitted at the designated Study Center
where you will take your theory and practical counseling
sessions. The examination fees has been changed from Jan
2009 session onwards.

to other Study Centre. What is the procedure?
Ans: The
candidate must submit the re-registration form at the new
Study Centre where he / she want to take transfer at the
time of re-registration for next semester. Kindly enclose
an application written in the name of Director, IT Department,
KSOU, Manasagangotri, Mysore along with the application.
Kindly forward the copy of the application to Director,
Virtual Education Trust, UU-11, Pitampura, Delhi - 110088
also.

Ans:
The Study Material is sent to the
concerned Study Center and student can collect it from the
Study Center.

Evaluation related issues
All requests may be submitted
in prescribed application form. Students can obtain the
application from the Registrar (Evaluation), KSOU or from
the nearest Study Centre or VET website http://www.vet.pctiltd.com
under download section.
The student should submit the fees through a Demand
Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, KSOU payable at
Mysore.

What is the procedure to change the Examination Centre?
Ans: The
student needs to write an application in the name of Registrar
(Evaluation) and enclose a demand draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs.
One Thousand Only) drawn in favour of Finance Officer, KSOU
payable at Mysore. The application must have the reason
for the change of examination centre. The application must
contain the enrollment number, name, program, semester,
study centre code and other details.

The
examination centre can be changed only one month prior to
start of the examination. No request for change of examination
centre shall be entertained at later stage.

How to get the Duplicate Marks Card?
Ans: Collect the
prescribed Affidavit matter from the Registrar (Evaluation),
KSOU or from the nearest Study Centre and submit it on a Stamp
Paper of Rs.20/- duly sworn before Notary or Magistrate.
Fee for issue of a Duplicate Marks Card is Rs.300/-. Search
Charge of Rs.30/- is to be paid for the delay of each year.
Submit your application to the Registrar (Evaluation), KSOU,
along with Affidavit and demand draft. The student needs to
submit the fees through a demand draft drawn in favour of
Finance Officer, KSOU payable at Mysore.

How to get the Consolidated Marks Card?
Ans: Enclose all the
original Marks Cards.
Fee for issue of a Consolidated Marks Card is Rs.200/-.
A Search Charge of Rs.30/- is to be paid for the delay of
each year
Submit your application to the Registrar (Evaluation), KSOU,
along with bank draft and original Marks Cards. The student
needs to submit the fees through a demand draft drawn in
favour of Finance Officer, KSOU payable at Mysore.

How to get the Provisional Pass Certificate / Provisional
Certificate?
Ans:
Enclose the copies of the marks cards of all the
examinations passed.
Fee for issue of a Provisional Pass Certificate is Rs.300/-.
Submit your application to the Registrar (Evaluation), KSOU,
along with bank challan and copies of the marks cards of
all the examinations passed.
The student can also submit
the fees through a demand draft drawn in favour of Finance
Officer, KSOU payable at Mysore.
Note: Provisional pass certificate is issued
until the degree certificate is issued.

How to clear the NCL in Marks Cards (NCL: Not Complete the
Lower Examination)
Ans: Request may be
submitted in a plain paper address to the Registrar
(Evaluation), KSOU for the issue of revised marks card without
NCL marking.
Enclose all original marks cards of qualifying examinations
passed and the marks card where in the NCL is marked.
Fee Nil
Submit your application to the Registrar (Evaluation), KSOU,
along with original marks cards and the marks cards where in
NCL is marked.

How to get the Degree/Diploma Certificate?
Ans: Enclose copies of
all the marks cards of the qualifying examination passed.
Affix One Photograph on the application and attach the another
photograph in a cover / envelope.
Fee for issue of a Degree Certificate:
i) In person in the same year : Rs. 500-00
(Masters Degree
/ Medal / Prize Winners)
ii) In absentia : Rs. 600-00
(All Other Candidates)
ii) Search Fees per year of delay: Rs. 30-00
Note: The
Application form for the Degree Certificate will be sent
only after the Convocation notification is issued by the
Registrar, KSOU, Mysore. The convocation form can be downloaded
from download section of VET website.
Diploma Students can obtain the certificates after the
successful completion of the Examination.
The student needs to submit the fees through a demand draft
drawn in favour of Finance Officer, KSOU payable at Mysore.

How to re-appear in a paper or semester examination? What
is the fee for the re-appear and from where can I get the
repeaters form?
Ans:
You need to downloaded the repeater form available
under the download section of VET website (http://www.vet.pctiltd.com).
All the details relating to re-appearing fees etc are available
in the repeaters form (Page 3).
